Jaimie Engle at PalmCon Comic Con

Panels, Signings, Photo Ops with Award-Winning Writer Jaimie Engle

West Palm Beach, FL, September 17th – PalmCon boasts Palm Beach County’s original comic con, welcoming many artists, celebrities, creators, and fans including the creative team behind “The 9 Circles” written by Jaimie Engle with art by KoolasHeck (published by Blood Moon Comics, LLC). In addition to having a booth space where fans can buy comics, meet the team, and take a photograph with a six-foot cutout of the main character, Simeon, Engle will be on a panel titled “Enter the Writer’s Room” from 12-12:45pm in Panel Room B1 joined by Steve Altier and Heidi A. Heiss. The convention will be held at the Palm Beach County Convention Center on September 17th, from 9am-6pm at 650 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach, Florida.

Engle writes for tv, film, books, and comics giving her a wide spectrum perspective to share with inspiring writers. Her newest non-fiction book “You Can Write a Comic” launched on Amazon in August 2022 as a companion to her popular session on how to write a comic book.

“I’ve been writing and teaching professionally since 2010,” shared Engle, who published her first novel Clifton Chase and the Arrow of Light in 2012. “Since then, I’ve published 11 books, optioned 3 tv shows, sold 1 feature film script, and had the pleasure of speaking to tens of thousands of students about writing through the public school and library systems.”

“The 9 Circles” comic was first adapted from a short story in Engle’s collection titled “The Toilet Papers” after she adapted it into a script for television first. The script caught the eye of the producer of “Thinner” and “The Stand” who is currently seeking funding for the project. Engle reached out to the artist known as KoolasHeck, who is a Sketchcard Illustrator for Upper Deck/Marvel Comics and an illustrator, writer, and executive producer on multiple comic series.

“I am so excited to be a guest at PalmCon!” shared Koolasheck, who began drawing at a young age. “Plus, I can’t wait for everyone to see how Jaimie and I finished up The 9 Circles mini-series, as all three issues will be available.”

Engle and KoolasHeck will be signing books, selling merch, and giving away swag as they interact with fans all weekend! MY NEXT COMIC!!

Gaijin in Tokyo, an Usher of the Dead one shot

This story was so fun to write. It originated from a short story I wrote in Tokyo, Japan in 1999. I was asked to write a one shot featuring Sariel from “Usher of the Dead” and I knew exactly what I would write, weaving the short story with this new mythology. Can’t wait for this release!!

An American Gaijin in 1999 Tokyo discovers her Japanese neighbor has just murdered her husband. And she’s not surprised. His temper mixed with her subservience was a surefire imbalance destined for disaster. But Sariel, the Usher of the Dead ,who orchestrates these life transitions, may find the strings of the living are being pulled by an ancient spirit.
